Dr Catherine Lawson

BSC, BDS, MFDS (RCS Ed)
Originally from the UK and practicing dentistry since 2012, I have settled in Cromwell and have been working here since 2015. I have a passion for Oral Surgery and can offer a variety of treatments including fillings, root canal treatment, crown, bridge & implant restorative work.

I bring together a skilled general dentistry background, as well as excellent emergency care that is both thoughtful and designed to bring a smile to your face.

After taking ownership of Cromwell Dental Centre in 2019, I began by investing in new equipment to benefit my patients and staff whilst also remodeling the practice to give fresh look and create an extra surgery space to be able to provide more service to the community. I have a strong focus on delivering the highest quality care to all, with personalized plans to suit the needs and budget of each patient. I strive to exceed the expectations of every patient with our dental treatment and performance.

As the owner, I aim to maintain and instill the values of honesty, trust and transparency through treatment. I wish my patients to feel safe in the knowledge that we know their medical history, fears and worries, so we can understand and support their needs pre, during and post treatment.

Dr Simon Lewis

BDS
After 25 years working in Alexandra, I sold my dental practice in 2016, and have spent the last 3 years working as a locum in a number of practices mainly around Otago and Canterbury. I am now happy to be returning to Central Otago and settling in the Cromwell area. I am looking forward to getting back into the central lifestyle, reacquainting myself with people I know , meeting new people, and the opportunities this area has to offer.

Outside dentistry my focus is on family, exploring NZ and further afield, and I love a bit of DIY. My dental philosophy is based on patient communication, sharing knowledge and helping my patients make informed decisions. Providing my patients with realistic treatment plans to solve any current issues, but also to provide them with long term healthy outcomes. I enjoy dealing with the people attached to the teeth and attempt to do my best for them.

Dr Ania Simonow

BDSc (Hons) WA
I moved to Queenstown/Central Otago area in 2019 after choosing a lifestyle change for the mountains and lakes, from the heat of Perth where I grew up. After graduating from the University of Western Australia in 2004, I have worked in private practice, including owning a practice of my own for seven. I have also been a Clinical Consultant and mentor to the final year dentistry students at the Oral Health Centre of WA.

I believe a smile is a person’s best asset and for this reason I love cosmetic dentistry, in particular conservative composite veneers and smile rejuvenations. I enjoy crown and veneer ceramics and implant dentistry, as well as completing a lot of root canal treatment. I encourage all my patients to play an active role in their dental care and always do my best to reassure and educate about dental health.

Outside of work, I love to explore the great outdoors including day hikes, biking, kayaking & camping, as well as cooking, photography and getting creative with art projects at home in the cooler months.

Laurel Graham

Hygienist
I graduated as a Dental Hygienist in 2007 in Dunedin after moving from Auckland with my family.

My passion is working with people to help educate, maintain and treat gum disease. With over 10 years experience I work well with nervous patients and I endeavor to treat every patient how I would want to be treated, in a positive, caring and relaxed environment and giving them the best optimal oral care. I love being in the health profession, working one on one with patients and making sure they leave the practice having a positive experience.

Annabelle Fraser

Dental Thearpist/ Hygienist
From an early age I have had an interest in dentistry. Once I completed high school I trained as a Dental Therapist and spent 9 years in the School Dental Service in the Waikato and Otago. In January 2005 I joined the Royal New Zealand Dental Corps and completed my Dental Hygiene training at the University of Otago in 2007. I spent 4 years working as a uniformed Army Dental Hygienist.

I joined the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Otago in 2012 and was a clinical tutor for the Bachelor of Oral Health. I am excited to have joined the Practice after taking extended maternity leave. I believe in effective communication, a non-judgmental environment and working together with my patients to provide the best possible dental outcomes. I love enabling and working in partnership with my patients to improve their oral health and well being.
